It was over ten years ago when Hyland took over Nashville and I last took the general session stage at CommunityLIVE (at that time called the OnBase Training & Technology Conference). For those that don’t know my background, I started my career in Content Services at Hyland as a Product Evangelist.

This year will be my 12th CommunityLIVE. Now, I did miss the conference in 2008 when my son was born, but I’ve been there ever since. Now many of you might be thinking, “is it really worth going to the conference every year?” I’m here to tell you, YES!!!

New OnBase Features
As you know, Hyland provides a major release to OnBase each year. CommunityLIVE is an ideal opportunity to understand the new features available and what they can mean for your organization. Whether you are new to OnBase or if you’ve been drinking the Kool-Aid for years – there is a session for everyone. Hyland Just Isn’t OnBase Anymore
What makes this year’s conference more important than ever is that Hyland just isn’t OnBase anymore. One of the benefits of Hyland’s acquisition of Perceptive Software is that it opened the door to more technology connected to the world’s leading Content Services platform. Hyland has spent the last 12 months integrating some of the key components of the Perceptive portfolio into the Hyland ecosystem. Below are some of the sessions that highlight some of those new products like Brainware, Content Composer, Enterprise Search and Media Manager:

CommunityLIVE is More Than a Conference
Outside of the 350+ sessions you can attend, one of the biggest benefits of CommunityLIVE is the networking with your peers in the Content Services world. Not only do you get to spend time with the crew at Kiriworks and Hyland, but you get to speak and learn from people doing what you do on a daily basis. Whether you want to talk to another System Administrator, an AP Manager, a CIO or someone in your same industry – there will be thousands of people to connect with at CommunityLIVE.

One of the best memories of CommunityLIVE is when I took the general session stage in Nashville in 2007. Of course I was nervous, but from a sea of 2,000 people I could hear members from the Credit Union VOGUE cheering me on! This event just isn’t a technology conference, it truly is a community of likeminded people coming together to celebrate each other and the technology that impacts our lives each and every day.
